“Very foggy all day. — Did not go out in the morning. — Thought so much of this day, when dear little Mossy was to be married to Fritz Carl of Hesse (Cassell) & of dear Vicky’s wedding day on this same date 35 years ago! May God bless the young couple, but it is terrible for poor dear Vicky to lose her last daughter. — Arthur’s children came to luncheon. — In spite of the fog, took a short drive with Fanny D. & Mary H. — Gave a large dinner in the Durbar Room, of which I annex the list, & gave out the healths of “my grandchildren Pce & Pss Frederick Charles of Hesse”. Heard before I went to bed that the marriage had gave off well. — The Marine Band played. —“
